New Year’s Eve is a time to celebrate, but it’s also one of the most dangerous nights of the year for crashes and injuries. Whether you're heading out or hosting at home, here are a few safety tips to keep in mind before the ball drops:

🔵Plan Ahead - Arrange your transportation early. Whether it's a designated driver, rideshare, or public transit, having a safe way home is paramount.

🔵Pace Yourself - If you're drinking, know your limits. Alternate alcoholic beverages with water and never leave your drink unattended.

🔵Be Firework-Smart - Leave the pyrotechnics to professionals. Fireworks, even handheld sparklers, can cause serious injuries, especially to children and pets.

🔵Watch Your Step - Icy sidewalks, dim lighting, and crowded venues can be a recipe for slip-and-fall incidents. Wear appropriate footwear and stay alert.

🔵Avoid Celebratory Gunfire - Firing weapons into the air is not only illegal — it’s deadly. Celebrate safely and responsibly.

🔵Host Responsibly - If you're throwing a party, offer non-alcoholic drink options, serve plenty of food, and make arrangements for guests to get home safely. Remember, you could be held legally responsible if someone leaves your party and injures others.

Your safety and well-being matter, and we hope you have a safe and celebratory New Year’s Eve. But in the event you need us, please know we’re here for you.

December is Safe Toys and Gifts Month — and with the holidays around the corner, it’s a great reminder that safety should always be part of the gift-giving spirit.

Here are a few tips to keep in mind when shopping for children:

🎁Choose toys that match the child’s age and development level.
🎁Avoid small parts for kids under 3 to prevent choking hazards.
🎁Look for well-made, durable items that won’t break easily.
🎁Stay informed on recalls at cpsc.gov/Recalls.
🎁Don’t overlook practical gifts like books, helmets, or safety gear.
🎁Gift an experience — like museum passes or art classes — for a clutter-free surprise.

Wishing each of you a joyful and safe holiday season! As always, do not hesitate to give us a call with any questions or needs.

As autumn sets in, safety risks tend to rise. In our experience, this season often brings an increase in slip, trip, and fall accidents. Wet leaves, rain, and earlier sunsets can turn everyday spaces into unexpected hazards.

Here are some of the most common causes of fall-related injuries:

➡️ Slippery sidewalks, driveways, and entryways
➡️ Tripping over uneven pavement, loose rugs, or clutter
➡️ Using ladders for seasonal chores

If an incident happens, being prepared is key. That’s why we’ve put together a quick checklist to help you protect your health, your rights, and your peace of mind after a fall.

If you or someone you know experiences a fall-related accident, do not hesitate to contact our team. We are here to help guide you every step of the way.

Car crashes remain one of the leading causes of death for children ages one to 13, but many of those tragedies are preventable with proper car seat use.

In honor of Child Passenger Safety Week (September 21–27), here are a few safety tips every parent and caregiver should keep in mind:

✅ Choose the right seat. Match the car seat to your child’s age, height, and weight. Use the NHTSA’s car seat finder if you’re unsure.
✅ Install it correctly. The seat should move no more than an inch at the base. Use either the seat belt or LATCH system, never both.
✅ Secure the straps. Straps should be snug with no twists, and the chest clip should be at armpit level.
✅ Don’t rush the transition. Each stage offers a different level of protection. Keep your child in their current seat as long as they meet the guidelines.

It’s always a good idea to get your installation checked by a certified technician — it’s often free and could save a life.

Stay safe on the road this September and every month. And as always, reach out with any legal questions or needs.
