This week, Whitley Law Firm joined a coalition of firms representing the Wichita and Affiliated Tribes and the Washoe Tribe of Nevada and California in a class action lawsuit seeking a full accounting of tribal trust funds, land proceeds, treaty-stipulated education funds, and other resources allegedly used to support the Federal Indian Boarding School Program.
The case seeks answers to longstanding questions about how Native Nations' resources were used and whether the federal government fulfilled its fiduciary obligations. The lawsuit is about transparency, accountability, and ensuring communities have access to the information they deserve.
As Whitley Law Firm expands its Government Relations sector, this work reflects our commitment to helping clients navigate the intersection of law, public policy, and government.
🏛️ We are honored to work alongside Selendy Gay, Fields Han Cunniff, DiCello Levitt, and All Rise! in this litigation.
