Two great wins this morning in Racine. First, a felony firearm case dismissed at the final pretrial conference. The state conceded with the Defense that the charge could not be proven beyond a reasonable doubt.

The second, a domestic violence charge dismissed after the parties negotiated a diversion agreement.

Both different styles of defense - negotiation and litigation. Same great result.

Great work Attorney Brian Dimmer and RACINE DEFENSE!

Our 3rd annual Class Action School Supply Drive has begun! We have had a great response the last two years and have helped United Way provide supplies to dozens of children in the Racine-area community. Please consider donating school supplies from the supply list available here (please use the non-Montessori lists) and drop off your donation to 840 Lake Avenue, third floor, or 5605 Washington Avenue, Suite 4/5 by August 29. Remember that there is a sales tax holiday on school supplies from August 1-5, so take advantage! Any questions please contact Jenn Hemmer at [email protected].

Here's some great news for a Wednesday:

Feb. 21, 2018 – One of the first major actions that Randy Koschnick will take as newly appointed Director of State Courts is implementing recommendations on the length of time certain case information is publicly available online, even if a case is dismissed.

Parking around our office has never been easier!

Starting September 30, 2017, Racine's new app for smart phones, PassportParking, will enable shoppers and visitors to Downtown, Uptown and West Racine to pay for and monitor their parking meters without an extra trip back to their cars.

Congrats to Attorney Dimmer, who successfully litigated another Fourth Amendment motion in a felony-OWI matter. The case was officially dismissed this afternoon. Two years of hard work paid off.

A Special Thanks to The Racine Public Defender’s Office who provided the most school supplies during last year’s effort! I’m told Legal Action of Wisconsin in Racine is going to give them some hot competition this year! Much Thanks to all of the Firms that have agreed to help this year!

For those that may want to contribute but do not want a collection box, you can still help by sending a donation to the Racine County Bar Association care of Kelly Mould, 555 Main Street, Ste 260, Racine, Wisconsin 53403.
Several of our members will be taking a shopping trip with the donation dollars to purchase school supplies!
