“Pueblo Attorney Richard Orona offered Paraday his assistance in whatever manner he can provide, although by the rules of small claims court, he cannot legally represent her unless Cotter himself retains an attorney in the matter. Orona also offered his assistance, regardless of financial situation, to anyone in a similar situation. Orona has also launched a lawsuit representing family members of the identified victims, seeking civil damages for the alleged mistreatment of the remains by a person in a position of trust.”
A Pueblo woman is suing the former coroner, his brother, and Davis Mortuary to get back money paid in advance for cremation services.
