Today we are proud to celebrate Attorney Andrea Staehelin on being named a recipient of an “Up & Coming Lawyers” Excellence in Law Award by Rhode Island Lawyer’s Weekly.

The awards ceremony was held on June 2, 2026, at the Crowne Plaza in Warwick, Rhode Island, bringing together legal professionals from across the state to celebrate excellence, leadership, and service within the profession.

At Brennan Scungio & Kresge, Andrea has established herself as a stalwart leader and valued member of our team. Her leadership skills and commitment to the broader community are exemplified through her long-standing involvement with the Rhode Island Women’s Bar Association (RIWBA), which has been a hallmark of her career. Andrea currently serves in the House of Delegates and as a board member for the RIWBA for the 2026-2027 year. In this capacity, she contributes to programming development and membership engagement within the organization.

This recognition is a testament not only to her professional accomplishments but also to the integrity, work ethic, and leadership she demonstrates every day.

This past Saturday, attorneys Lisa Kresge, Sean Clough, Christopher Morello, and Andrea Staehelin, along with law clerk Hannah Rose, had the opportunity to volunteer with Special Olympics Rhode Island. It was a fantastic experience, and we were grateful to spend the morning supporting such an inspiring organization and its athletes.

Ben Scungio and Chris Morello recently presented as guest speakers at the Rhode Island Association of School Business Officials (RIASBO) Mid-Year Membership Meeting. 🎤 Attorney Morello engaged a room of dedicated school business officials in a discussion of significant unfunded mandates and potential legislative solutions. 📊 Attorney Scungio collaborated with Melissa Devine, a RIASBO member and school business official, and highlighted effective strategies for preparing for collective bargaining negotiations, weaving in relevant anecdotes and showcasing ready-made documents designed to help school business officials maximize their value at the bargaining table. 🤝 The BSK attorneys appreciated the opportunity to connect with RIASBO members and learn from the event’s other presenters.

We’re excited to spotlight Liz Anderson, an intern with Brennan Scungio & Kresge! Liz is originally from Massachusetts and currently attends Salve Regina University, where she is majoring in Political Science with a concentration in American Government and Policy. She’s set to graduate in Spring 2026 and has been interning with the firm since May.

Liz has a strong interest in commercial and real estate law, and she’s already making her mark at the firm. Fun fact: she’s also the creative mind behind managing the firm’s social media! 📱
