The oldest known photo of the Red Lion Inn, constructed in 1807. Photo is facing Rt 1 (NOT Washington Rd) and taken prior to 1894, given that the barn at the extreme right end, which burned down that year, is still standing. Note the orientation of the building; it was later moved in 1929 to its present location at 261 Washington Rd and eventually converted into a parsonage for the adjacent church.
