Calvert County residents, hello! Has your son or daughter of ages 14-21 ever showed any interest in law enforcement? Our Calvert County Sheriff's Office has a wonderful program called CCSO Explorers Post #91. This program is a great place to learn more about the insides of policing in our county and to help you reach the level of law enforcement you’re interested in (local, state, or even the federal level). We have personal meetings the 1st and 3rd tuesday of every month (besides summer break) from 6-8pm. In these meeting you have the opportunity to learn how to preform traffic stops, how to do room clearing, you also get certified in “stop the bleed”, and have opportunities to go on ride along with officers.

Explorer Post 91 assisting the Optimist Club with their annual delivery of trees. Proud to see the Explorers were the hardest working volunteers there.

Explorer Post 91 started back their meetings for the school year. Cpl Mitchell says PT it is. We have some exhausted Explorers.

If you make it to the fair this weekend please stop by the Sheriffs Office booth and see the Explorer Post 91 new fast pitch. Purchased with donations received from previous Calvert County Fairs and various local partners. This program is made possible through the continuous donations and the Explorer Post is always willing to help when needed.

Solo fire pit with cover going up for raffle soon. Something to keep you warm with winter around the corner. Tickets will be $25 a ticket and only selling 200 tickets. More info to come soon. All proceeds support the Explorer 91 Post

Explorer Post 91 visited the Southern MD Criminal Justice Academy today. Had a chance to run the obstacle course, tour the academy, and FATS Simulator.
