So today was a great day in Mohave County, where we celebrated Adoption Day. Ten forever families were made today, and roughly 20 kiddos received permanency in living homes. Thank you to the three judges who made this happen. I am thankful and blessed for being able to assist!

Happy Veterans Day, dad! I will for all time be proud of your service in the Pacific Theatre in WWII.

I did my civic duty! I did my own research, decided issues for myself and considered the ethics and morality of the candidates. I will share I cannot and will not support any politician that ignores fact, spreads falsehoods or ridicules another human being. I am taking a stand for the greater good!

Recently, I had the honor of presenting a seminar on the ICPC to the State of Wyoming at its Joint Symposium on Children and Youth with my dear friend and respected colleague, Stephen Pennypacker from Florida.

This was conducted via a Microsoft Teams web based format, orchestrated by the State of Wyoming. As opposed to simply cancelling this event, they brought it to more people through the use of the internet. What an experience!

We are all adjusting, using technology as a means to stay connected. To learn, and to share. However, when I think of parents who are in the system with their children, and who are honestly and eagerly trying to correct the issues that caused them to be found there, I cannot help but feel sorry. How can they continue to bond with their children, and overcome the emotional issues involved? How can that child learn that their parent or parents had a problem and are overcoming it, and perhaps most importantly, that it wasn't that child's fault?

These are issues that I will no doubt address in future posts. For now, I simply want to that the Wyoming Supreme Court and the National Association of Counsel for Children for inviting me to speak.

Happy Father’s Day to all of my adoptive Dads out there. YOU had a choice. YOU opened your home, and you heart. YOU made a difference, giving a child or children a loving and nurturing home. Sometimes, at a significant personal sacrifice. A applaud and salute you today and every day.

Today is truly yours. Relish it and enjoy!

Greetings! I hope that this finds you well!

As I mentioned before, I would be doing some videos and pod-casts in an effort to stay in contact with you during this time of social distancing. It's a new world for us all, if only temporary.

I am happy to attach to this post my first in response to some of your requests. Some of you have requested information on Adoptions generally, such as what is involved and how long it can take. As a result, I have put together an introduction to adoptions in Arizona geared to you, the prospective adoptive parent. It is admittedly a bit rough, and a bit lengthy at just over 20 minutes, but I hope that you like it.

Again, let me know what you think. Let me know what you would like to hear about. Let me know if you would be interested in an online type of interactive video discussion or training. I would be happy to put one together.

Most of all, thank you for what you do for the children in care of the State. Stay healthy!

Jonathan
