There is an ongoing debate about whether pools add to, detract from, or don't measurably affect the value of a home, but the bottom line is that it all depends on the buyer. A buyer interested in a luxury property located in a warm climate may not even consider purchasing a home without a built-in pool. Plus, you can't put a price on the feeling of going down the slide on a hot day and landing in a refreshing pool...putting a price on it is my job!
