Hey yawl, these are a few things that should at least make you stop and take a beat before completing a signing. Keep your handbook with you and NEVER be afraid to call the NNA or your SoS with questions! They’re there to help. They WANT you to call. Even if you think you have the dumbest question ever… CALL👏🏾 THEM👏🏾They’d rather you call than put the signer or your commission at risk.

PARENTS OF SENIORS! This one’s for YOU!

The day your kid turns 18, you legally can’t make decisions for them anymore. If they get hurt at school, the hospital won’t even tell you what’s going on. Not their condition, not their room number. Nothing. I’ve seen what that does to a family, and it’s preventable with one evening of paperwork.

Before move-in day, get these signed:

Health care power of attorney. Financial power of attorney. HIPAA and FERPA releases so doctors and the college can actually talk to you.

You can prepare everything in about 15 minutes at https://lnkd.in/g8BSRAHA — and then they need to be notarized to count. That’s where I come in. We notarize completely online, or we come to you anywhere in Portland Metro and Clark County. Kid going out of state? We’re commissioned in Oregon AND Washington, so both sets get signed in one appointment.
