Oregon Senate overrides Governor Kotek's veto of bill expanding foster child protections. The Senate also rejected a bill reducing investigative requirements for reported abuse of kids in foster care that of which Kotek personally testified in favor.

The issue of foster youth and care has been a contentious issue for Gov. Tina Kotek.
