Showing homes this weekend in Milwaukie and Clackamas, 4 of 5 homes we saw had a "continental bathroom" on the main floor. These homes were 70s split-levels with just one bathroom on the main floor and one on the lower level. It was surprising to me to see so many of these bathrooms on our tour! These bathrooms have a door to the primary bedroom as well as a door to the main hallway, some of which had separate doors between the WC and the sinks/shower spaces as well. I suppose you can call these "jack-and-jill" bathrooms, but I think of those more as a bathroom with doors between two bedrooms, not a bedroom and the hallway. What do you think? Love a "continental bathroom" or leave it??
