For this year's Manchester-based Day of Service, our team spent the day supporting two incredible organizations making a difference in our community: Harbor Care and Easterseals New Hampshire.

At Harbor Care, we refreshed living spaces for veterans by painting walls at Independence Hall in Manchester. At Easterseals NH, we helped organize more than 400 bags for the upcoming HK Powersports Poker Run for Easterseals NH & VT, an event that raises more than $150,000 to support Easterseals programs.

A sincere thank you to both Harbor Care and Easterseals NH for welcoming us and for the inspirational work you do every day.

We're grateful for the opportunity to give back alongside organizations that make such a meaningful impact! 💙

We’re growing in the Granite State.

We’re excited to announce our new office in downtown Concord, New Hampshire, opening this July. Located directly across from the State House at 2 Eagle Square, this new location expands our presence in New Hampshire and reinforces our continued commitment to serving clients throughout the state.

Complementing our Manchester office, our Concord location will support attorneys and professionals across a range of practices, with a particular focus on Government & Public Affairs—enhancing our ability to support clients engaging with state government and policy—and Bernstein Shur Strategic Economic Solutions, which parters with organizations on economic development, strategic planning, and public-private initiatives.

With strong roots established in Manchester, we’re proud to continue expanding our reach across New Hampshire. We look forward to strengthening our relationships with clients, community leaders, and partners in the state capital!

⚾ Summer officially arrived at Bernstein Shur last week!

We headed to Hadlock Field for our annual “Welcome to Summer” gathering, and it was a picture-perfect evening of baseball, sunshine, and good company.

The Portland Sea Dogs delivered plenty of excitement with a 10–7 victory, but the real highlight was spending time together outside the office and kicking off the season with colleagues, family, and friends.

Here’s to summer in Maine and making the most of it! ☀️

Last week at our annual holiday party, CEO, Kaveri Subbarao Nauhaus had the honor of presenting the Barnett I. Shur Civic Awards and the Sumner T. Bernstein Pro Bono Award to three remarkable colleagues who exemplify our firm’s longstanding commitment to service, equity, and community.

2025 Barnett I. Shur Community Service Award Recipients:
🌟 Sarah Resah Wilson, an integral member of Bernstein Shur for more than 27 years, who contributes more than 360 hours annually to the International Chapter of the P.E.O. Sisterhood reflecting her deep commitment to empowering women through education and opportunity.

🌟Carli Labrecque, an associate attorney who serves as President of the Board of Our Place Portland, volunteers with NAMI Maine, assists victims of domestic violence through regional nonprofits, and spearheads independent outreach efforts for unhoused residents in Portland.

2025 Sumner T. Bernstein Pro Bono Award Recipient:
🌟Hilary Rheaume, shareholder, Labor & Employment group co-chair and Director of Community Engagement at the firm whose leadership extends beyond Bernstein Shur to serve on the boards of New Hampshire Legal Assistance, the New Hampshire Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence, and Families in Transition.

Our Portland and Manchester offices kicked off the holiday season with a pair of Thanksgiving potlucks that brought the whole firm together, providing a moment to pause, share a meal, and celebrate what we’re grateful for after an exciting year.

As part of our Giving Campaign, team members took part in a new tradition: paying $2 to buy a small rubber duckie and pairing it with a handwritten note of gratitude for a colleague, with all proceeds benefitting Families in Transition and Good Shepherd Food Bank.

We’re grateful for the people who make this firm what it is and for the communities in which we're proud to work. Wishing everyone a warm, joyful, and restorative Thanksgiving holiday! 🦃🧡🦆
