Last week at our annual holiday party, CEO, Kaveri Subbarao Nauhaus had the honor of presenting the Barnett I. Shur Civic Awards and the Sumner T. Bernstein Pro Bono Award to three remarkable colleagues who exemplify our firm’s longstanding commitment to service, equity, and community.
2025 Barnett I. Shur Community Service Award Recipients:
🌟 Sarah Resah Wilson, an integral member of Bernstein Shur for more than 27 years, who contributes more than 360 hours annually to the International Chapter of the P.E.O. Sisterhood reflecting her deep commitment to empowering women through education and opportunity.
🌟Carli Labrecque, an associate attorney who serves as President of the Board of Our Place Portland, volunteers with NAMI Maine, assists victims of domestic violence through regional nonprofits, and spearheads independent outreach efforts for unhoused residents in Portland.
2025 Sumner T. Bernstein Pro Bono Award Recipient:
🌟Hilary Rheaume, shareholder, Labor & Employment group co-chair and Director of Community Engagement at the firm whose leadership extends beyond Bernstein Shur to serve on the boards of New Hampshire Legal Assistance, the New Hampshire Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence, and Families in Transition.
These awards honor individuals who give generously of their time, voice, and talent in service of others—and who embody a legacy that goes back to the very roots of Bernstein Shur.
