Crews will begin by grinding away the top layer of damaged pavement, which is work that can be done in rainy weather. As weather improves, crews will shift back to complete paving work on NE Glisan Street between 82nd and 92nd avenues, which requires dry weather to be completed, before resuming work on NE 122nd Avenue.
Crews will work from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. on NE 122nd Avenue between NE Glisan and Holladay streets. Additional paving work on 122nd Avenue is planned for Holladay to Halsey streets and Halsey to Broadway. These segments will be scheduled after the initial segment is completed.
Transit riders should check trimet.org for impacts.
During construction one travel lane will be open in each direction. Sidewalks will remain open for pedestrians. People biking are asked to detour to sidewalks during construction. Local access to residences and businesses will remain available.
Expect delays, travel cautiously, observe all closures and directions by flaggers, and use alternate routes if possible.
The work is funded by Portland's voter-approved 10-cent gas tax for fixing our streets and making them safer for all.
