We need to fight Parking Revenue Services, the company that runs the AI ticket program at the Quimper Mercantile parking lot. This company is hurting our small businesses! We believe Parking Revenue Services is violating the Washington Consumer Protection Act. Everyone needs to fight their ticket. This may force Parking Revenue Services to change their unlawful parking policy.
Here is a step-by-step guide to fight your ticket. We successfully used this letter to get our ticket dismissed.
1. Go to https://disputes.prrsparking.com
2. Enter your personal information
3. Enter your notice number, license plate state, and license plate number.
4. Check "other" for reason you are disputing your parking ticket.
5. Copy and paste the below letter into the comment section. You will have to edit the letter in the places where there are brackets.
6. Upload a picture of your Notice of Non-Compliance (your parking ticket)
Here is the letter:
To Whom This May Concern:
I request that Parking Revenue Services immediately dismiss my parking ticket.
First, as reflected in its Notice of Non-Compliance, Parking Revenue Services has zero evidence that I was driving the vehicle on [Write the Date of Your Ticket]. See Exhibit 1, Notice of Non-Compliance. Since it has zero evidence that I drove the vehicle on [Write the Date of Your Ticket], Parking Revenue Services cannot issue me a parking ticket.
Two, as reflected in its Notice of Non-Compliance, Parking Revenue Services has zero evidence that the vehicle was parked in the parking lot for more than 30 minutes. See Exhibit 1. Both pictures in the Notice of Non-Compliance show a vehicle being driven in the parking lot. See Exhibit 1. Neither picture shows a vehicle parked in the parking lot. See Exhibit 1. Your company cannot issue a parking ticket to me when it has zero evidence that I parked in your parking lot.
Thus, I request that Parking Revenue Services confirm in writing that it dismissed my parking ticket by [Write the Date from Two Weeks of Today’s Date] at 4:30pm.
If Parking Revenue Services improperly refuses to dismiss my parking ticket, I will likely sue your company for violating the Consumer Protection Act. See RCW 19.86. The Consumer Protection Act has harsh penalties for unfair and deceptive business acts. Here, it is an unfair and deceptive business practice for your company to issue me a parking ticket when it has zero evidence that I parked in your parking lot for any amount of time, let alone for over 30 minutes.
If it loses the lawsuit, Parking Revenue Services will be ordered to pay triple damages to me pursuant to the Consumer Protection Act. Also, it will also be required to pay for my attorney’s fees and costs for the lawsuit. My attorney’s fees and costs will be at least $10,000 if I am forced to litigate this matter. Simply put, if Parking Revenue Services improperly refuses to dismiss my parking ticket by [Write the Date from Two Weeks of Today’s Date], a judge will order it to pay over $10,000 at the end of the lawsuit.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I appreciate it.
Sincerely,
[Write Your Full Name]
