This staging job was a special one for me. My childhood home holds memories I’ve long since forgotten. I may have taken 10x as long to stage it but each piece was chosen to reflect some aspect of my parents.
That record player wasn’t my Dad’s but the records were. He sure did love music!
The bookcase in the living room was my Mom’s. She had her own robust collection of treasures that has since been given to family and friends but just styling it with pretty things made me think of her.
The pops of coral color in the bedroom replaced the abundance of corals, reds, and oranges throughout the house. While we updated the color scheme throughout to be a blank canvas for a new owner, I couldn’t NOT give a nod to her favorite color.
And lastly, I already have an infinity for little decorative birds, but it lends itself nicely to memorializing their love of birds and birdwatching just outside their big picture windows.
