Even though the Social Security Administration is not open to the public, many of their important services are available online at ssa.gov. In light of the Governor's order, we have closed the office until April 14, 2020 or until the Governor lifts the Stay at Home, Stay Safe order. I will continue to work from home and keep all of my appointments by phone for the next three weeks. Please, everyone stay safe, stay healthy and stay at home if you can. If you can't stay home, please be careful. I want to give a big thank you to all of the medical professionals, truckers, grocery store workers and everyone else who continues to go to work everyday helping the community make it through this difficult time!

Did you know that since 2012 the local Social Security offices throughout the country were only open until 12:00 PM on Wednesday? However, starting on January 8, 2020 the local offices will be open from 9 to 4 every week day making it more convenient for you to conduct business. Want something even easier? There are a lot of scam phone calls this time of year. If you receive a call asking for your social security number, hang up! Never give your social security number to anyone you don't know. Don't be a statistic. If you have a question about a scam call or you think you have been scammed, call your local Social Security office immediately.
