We are family.

Did you know there are 23 building industry associations in the state of Florida, and close to 400 nationwide?

We support each other.

Last night, President Shan Swelland, Swelland’s construction services traveled to Collier Building Industry Association to attend the 5th annual Brews and Barbeque event. In SWFL, many businesses work across the counties and are members in all. CBIA President Tatiana Gust is a member with her company Elite Permits and Vice President Mike Bone, Christopher Alan Homes is a member too!

They welcomed Shan and his daughter Isabella to the fun!

Welcome to another

I had the chance to visit with Rob Humpel (Managing Partner and CEO) and Val Edmunds ( Marketing Manager) from Florida Premier Contractors, LLC

Florida Premier Contractors is a Southwest Florida construction management firm that has been serving our community since 2011. I really enjoyed touring their office and hearing their story, and learning about some of the projects they have completed and some exciting ones they have coming up.

One of the best parts of these drop-ins is getting to meet the people behind the business and learning more about what they do every day. Thank you both for taking the time to meet with me and share more about your company!

Tonight, leaders were able to meet with Congressman Greg Steube, who represents Charlotte County.

We were able to thank him for his push in helping with federal issues, specifically his hurricane Bill and his push to keep the Port Charlotte Veteran Clinic open while the new clinic in North Port is being built.

We hope the bill to Lock the Clock, a bill Congressman Steube has supported since working in our state legislation will finally pass!

Today we welcomed the Charlotte County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Charlotte Class of 2026 to our office for Local Economy Day

The leaders were able to have an open dialogue about our economy, and new businesses and building projects in our community with panel Commissioner Bill Truex, Truex Preferred Construction , Carla Nix, The Nix Team and Mark O'Dell, Charlotte County, Florida Economic Development .
