📣 Co-Parenting Tip: Words and Emotions Matter! 💬❤️
Co-parenting is tough—it requires patience, communication, and mutual respect. But remember, how you speak to the other parent doesn’t just affect them—it trickles down to your child!! 👀💔
Children absorb the emotions and words exchanged between parents, and negativity can leave lasting impacts well into adulthood… I
💡 Here are some ways to communicate positively:
• Stick to the facts and avoid unnecessary criticism. Think twice before sending the text 😒😅
• Speak to the other parent the way you’d want your child to be spoken to. If you wouldn’t say it to a stranger, DONT say it to the other parent. Remember people will read your texts in open court. 👀
• Keep conversations calm, kind, and focused on solutions.
Children thrive when their parents set an example of respect and kindness, even in challenging circumstances. Let your words and actions reflect the love and care you want your child to grow up with. 💕
If that fails, keep calm and screenshot. Do not hit send. Do not reply. 🙌 I have a 2-2 rule: 2 hours to react to a message made to instigate rage or hurt, 2 hours to read your own response. Self control is KEY 🔑
