Now, Blackstone’s Link Logistics expanded its Pompano Beach industrial portfolio with its recent $20.7 million purchase of a manufacturing and distribution facility.

An affiliate of Link, a New York-based industrial real estate firm led by CEO Luke Petherbridge, acquired a 93,873-square-foot warehouse at 3141 Southwest 10th Street, records show. The deal breaks down to $221 per square foot.

What’s planned? “The Pomp” — named in homage to the Pompano Park racetrack — will feature 1.3 million square feet of retail and entertainment space, as well as 4,000 residential units, two hotels with a combined 500 rooms, and 1.5 million square feet of industrial space, such as warehouses and distribution. The project will include the existing Harrah’s Pompano Beach casino, which is owned by Caesars Entertainment.

The area that will be called “Live! at The Pomp” will include more than 25,000 square feet of food-and-beverage venues, including a Sports & Social and PBR Cowboy Bar, which will have a mechanical bull.

What is the history of Pompano Park? Racers reclined in two-wheeled carts, akin to chariot races in ancient Rome. Once considered the “Winter Capital of Harness Racing,” Pompano Park was Florida’s last remaining harness racing track.

SALATO means “briny,” or “salty,” in Italian. The name is a nod to Salato’s location at 305 Briny Ave. in Pompano Beach, which is south of Atlantic Boulevard, and close to the water. The multimillion-dollar project will rise nine stories to accommodate condos across 1.33 acres, and a high-end restaurant also is expected.

What’s planned?
Salato will be a 40-condo project, “very boutique and intimate.”

The units will each have 14-foot deep terraces facing the ocean. Here you could fit a vast array of dining furniture, loungers, the full outdoor living experience. The top floor will be six penthouse units with floor-to-ceiling windows.

Among the amenities: a wellness lounge with daily coffee and tea service and a mail room with storage for large deliveries and refrigerated storage for food delivery services. The first floor will have a gym and a beach showering area. The second floor will have access to the outdoor pool, a spa, his and her saunas, covered area with bar, and residence lounge with catering kitchen.

What will the homes cost?
The condos will range in size from 2,106 square feet to 3,354 square feet. The price, according to its sales site, starts at $2,720,000 up to $4,390,000 for the penthouses.

All 40 homes have three bedrooms and are 3.5 bath. There are four models to choose from and they all face the oceanfront.
