We are happy to welcome Kevin O'Reilly as our next CHARTER COMMISSIONER
Plymouth has always been home to me. It is where I was raised, where I raised my own children, and where I have spent much of my life working, serving, and giving back to the community.
But Plymouth has changed. We have grown significantly, the issues facing our town are more complex, and the demands placed on local government are greater than ever.
My perspective comes from many years of experience in government, business, and public service. I served as Chief of Staff in the State House, worked for our local Congressman, led the Plymouth Area Chamber of Commerce, owned a government and public relations firm, and served for more than a decade as an elected Town Meeting representative.
I respect Plymouth’s history and our strong tradition of citizen involvement. I also believe we should never be afraid to ask whether the way we govern ourselves still works as well as it should.
A Charter review is an opportunity to listen, learn, and take an honest look at what is working, what could be improved, and how we can best prepare Plymouth for the future.
Plymouth will continue to grow and evolve. I want to help make sure our local government is prepared to grow and evolve with it.
