The reason I chose to focus my Law practice on and is because of the personal relationships I develop with my clients. Unfortunately, I regret to say I lost my oldest and closest client (in length of representing him only, not age) early this morning. However, as sad as I am, I feel fortunate and blessed to have had the privilege to represent him over these years.

We lost a great one today. No client has had a bigger impact on my life than John. I can honestly say he changed my life for the better both professionally and personally.

On day one of opening my own practice back in 2012 he tendered a retainer check for me to hold for future work, which has been ongoing since 2010 and will continue even now that he has passed. Besides my parents and family, he was my biggest advocate. He was even invited to all 3 of my kids Bar Mitzvahs, but was unable to attend. He knew my wife, children, and even my brother by name. He was a client, friend and mentor.

He was one of the most generous men I know and treated EVERYONE with great respect. The valet, concierge, doorman, waiters, hostesses etc. all knew him by name. And boy did he appreciate great service.

He was also so creative and had a great business mind. Below is a picture of a dessert he created for his Sunday football watching crew.

He will forever be missed. RIP John and thank YOU for all you did for me and others.

My Story

As a little boy growing up in the North Suburbs of Chicago, I knew I wanted to be an attorney. Why you ask? No, it is not because I watched LA Law and could not wait to get in the courtroom. The reason is simple, my idol is my father, and he is an attorney. I have always looked up to him for so many reasons. HOWEVER, my father’s practice is different from mine.

I focus my practice in the areas of Probate, Elder Law, and Estate Planning because I feel it a “relationship based” practice that I can also utilize my CFP designation. No, I do not handle investments or life insurance, but my background gives me a good understanding. I love meeting with clients and talking to them because I learn from their experiences.

PROBATE or TRUST ADMINISTRATION- I represent people who have lost a loved one. It does not matter if they are a Personal Representative, Trustee or as a beneficiary, I can assist them in navigating through the probate or trust administration.

ELDER LAW- Many clients are concerned that they are going to outlive their assets because of their long-term care needs, and not be able to pass any assets to their loved ones. Medicaid planning can allow for you to legally transfer assets within the 5 year lookback period and still qualify for Medicaid.
