At Christopher N. Link, P.A., we handle only marital and family law cases and assist our clients through some of the most difficult problems of their lives. Our staff is dedicated to personal attention and highly trained to deal with the specific needs and concerns of our clients.
Some of the types of cases we undertake are: divorce, equitable distribution, alimony/spousal support, parenting plans (formerly known as “custody”), time-sharing/visitation rights, child support, modification of prior agreements and judgments, relocation requests, partition of real property, paternity, marital settlement agreements, prenuptial agreements and many other types of family law matters. Our firm represents a variety of clientele, from those involved in simple cases to those entangled in highly contested complex cases, with the utmost diligence. We are known for our no-nonsense approach and utilize cost analysis techniques in solving legal problems.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office. You will be responsible for communicating between departments and for completing multi-level tasks in a professional and timely manner. Being efficient in the field of family law or other legal field is preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
-Answer phones and direct calls with a positive attitude and an energetic work ethic
-Provide office guests with a hospitable experience
-Maintain office filing system
-Confirmation of appointments and court events
-Order office supplies and provide inventory control system
-Accounts payable and accounts receivable
-Online legal and background research when necessary
Qualifications
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills with clients/opposing side/judicial assistants/office staff
-Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work at a fast-paced legal environment
-Ability to learn new skills and incorporate them as necessary
-Attention to detail
-Work under deadlines to carry out materials for court proceedings
-Must be capable of working dependently and independently on projects
Salary is commensurate with experience, and "bonus points" for proficiency in the following programs: TimeMatters, TimeSlips, Divorce Power Analyzer (DPA), WordPerfect, Quickbooks and/or Quicken, Westlaw, Florida Courts E-Filing Portal, individual Clerk of the Court county websites for online scheduling and/or Orders.
