This may be the most significant development proposal West Plano has seen in years.

The proposed Dallas Stars development at the former Willow Bend Mall site continues to generate a lot of discussion throughout our community.

Supporters see exciting possiblities, including new entertainment, restaurants, jobs and investment in the area. Others have expressed concerns about increased traffic, parking, noise, crowds and the potential impact on nearby neighborhoods.

No matter when you stand, this project could have a significant impact on West Plano for years to come.

Community meetings are being held to provide information and gather feedback from residents. Details are below:

Where: Willow Bend Mall, enter at entrance near Equinox and Crate and Barrel

Day/Time: Wednesday, July 8 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and July 14, 6:00 to 8:00 pm.

The Plano City Council has the Dallas Stars issue on its agenda for Monday night, June 8. The meeting starts at 7:00 p.m.

If you are unfamiliar, the Dallas Stars would like to convert Willow Bend mall into an arena.

The City of Plano is now offering tranportation assistance to anyone 65 or older through Plano Rides.

🚗 Hours are Monday thru Friday 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
🚗 Saturday and Sunday 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
🚗 $1.50 per person
