Real Estate Taxes.
If you live anywhere in Monroe County your RE Taxes, all in Town,County and School, are about 3.5 - 6% of your full market value if not 80-95% of full market value. If you live in NYC, Manhattan your RE Taxes are about .07 -1.5% of market value. If you do the math and they raised taxes equal to what we pay in upstate NY I’m thinking they would have Billions of dollars each year in additional revenue and it would be across the board? The recent Tax Law possibly going into effect for properties over $5,000,000. in value to tax at a higher rate is most likely bringing at least those properties taxes in line with what we pay now. Where have all of the mayors been for all of these years do raise all property taxes equal to what we have been paying for over 50 years plus in Rochester?
