If you only had ONE weekend in Pittsburgh… here’s exactly how I’d spend it.
Most people completely underestimate Pittsburgh until they experience it for themselves.
From skyline views and award-winning restaurants to charming neighborhoods, luxury suburbs, walkable shopping districts, and some of the best sports venues in the country… Pittsburgh is easily one of the most underrated cities to visit and live in.
But because there are so many great options, I decided to share TWO unforgettable Pittsburgh weekend itineraries depending on the type of trip you want:
OPTION 1: The Ultimate Pittsburgh Weekend
Friday Night:Check into The Industrialist Hotel downtown before starting the evening with cocktails at Ritual House.
From there, head up to Mount Washington for the best skyline views in Pittsburgh and dinner at Altius…one of the most unforgettable dining experiences in the city overlooking downtown Pittsburgh.
Saturday:Start your morning at The Speckled Egg PGH before spending the day exploring the Strip District, one of the most iconic neighborhoods in Pittsburgh.
Some must-stop spots:• City Winery Pittsburgh• Pennsylvania Macaroni Co.• DiAnoia’s Eatery• local coffee shops, markets, boutiques, and wine bars
In the evening, catch a Pittsburgh Pirates game at PNC Park…widely considered one of the most beautiful baseball stadiums in America, before dinner at Alla Famiglia for incredible Italian food.
Sunday:Spend the morning walking through Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens before heading to Lawrenceville or Shadyside for lunch, shopping, cocktails, or dinner.
If you want a truly unforgettable dinner experience, go to Girasole in Shadyside.
OPTION 2: A Luxury Escape to Nemacolin Woodlands Spa + Resort
Enjoy:
Golf, fine dining, spa, pools and adventures.
Pittsburgh is so much more than people expect!
•incredible restaurants
•top rated schools districts
