Animals make us better humans - more grounded, more joyful, and (occasionally) more likely to talk to a dog like it’s our therapist. Join the ACBA Young Lawyers Division and the ACBA Health & Wellness Committee for a feel-good happy hour with Animal Friends on Wednesday, June 3 at Southern Tier. Animal Friends’ animal services program will bring some special animal guests to say hello, and ACBA members are invited to bring approved pet supply donations. “Holding the Powerful to Account and Balancing Prosecutorial Power: The Past, Present, and Future of Special Counsels” is the feature presentation for the 62nd Annual Bench-Bar Conference. Elie Honig, CNN Analyst and Former Federal and State Prosecutor, will give an insider’s perspective on some of the most consequential Justice Department investigations of the past 50 years. By analyzing on-the-record interviews with firsthand participants from administrations of both political parties, this program explores how a nation reveals itself by how it holds its most powerful leaders accountable when they are alleged to have done wrong.
