A fond farewell to the old JMKPA World Headquarters. Tomorrow, the renovations begin. JMKPA will be closed Thursday and Friday, August 21 and 22, but will reopen in its new surroundings on Monday, August 25.

TEN YEARS!!!
Ten years ago today, JMKPA opened its doors. It is hard to believe that a decade has passed since that first day, staring at my laptop, wondering how to get things rolling and if and how things would work out. Thankfully, things have worked out quite well and that fuzzy concept of running my own appellate and litigation support firm has turned into a sustained successful law practice.
As JMKPA starts its second decade, many thanks to my clients, friends, family, and especially my wife, Michele, because without all of you this would not have been possible. I look forward to continuing to practice under the JMKPA banner for many years to come...

It's always a great start to the day when a client sends over a positive result in a case we worked on together. Our attorney client obtained an involuntary dismissal of a mortgage foreclosure action against his client. The lender appealed. The law on the main issue on appeal was a little all over the place. JMKPA did the briefing and helped prepare the attorney client for oral argument. At oral argument, the panel really hit lender's counsel hard with our arguments on the main issue. We left oral argument cautiously optimistic that we'd obtain an affirmance. This morning, a mere twelve (12) days after oral argument, the appellate court issued its opinion, which was three words long: "Per curiam affirmed." We win. Another appellate victory for the attorney client and JMKPA...

EIGHT YEARS!!! Eight years ago today, JMKPA opened its doors. It is hard to believe that eight years has passed since that first day, staring at my laptop, wondering if and how things would work out. Things have worked out quite well and the concept of having my own appellate and litigation support firm has turned into a successful operating law firm, still going strong.

Many thanks to my clients, friends, family, and especially my wife, Michele, because without all of you this would not have been possible. I look forward to many more years practicing under the JMKPA banner.
