Let’s help reunite Edison Lizano with his son, Sebastián
On September 15, 2026, Edison Lizano—a loving father living in Groton, Connecticut—was detained by ICE while attending a scheduled court appointment regarding his active asylum case, which also includes his son, Sebastián, who is just 11 years old.
Edison appeared in court that day to verify information related to his asylum case. However, he was unexpectedly detained by ICE without prior notice, leaving his young son without his father by his side.
Sebastián is only 11 years old and is now facing the painful uncertainty of being separated from his dad; he is currently staying with his 23-year-old half-brother. Today, we ask family, friends, and the entire community to come together to help Edison during this incredibly difficult time.
We have created this GoFundMe campaign to raise funds to cover Edison’s legal expenses—helping him reunite with his son—and to meet any needs Sebastián may have.
