Hello friends, I am writing to share with you a personal disappointment regarding a professional goal that I had longed to achieve, but unfortunately did not materialize. I found out today. This news is unrelated to my work in Arkansas, but rather pertained to an opportunity based out of state. I believe it is only fitting to share not only the positive developments, but also the setbacks with all of you.
Despite outward appearances, my professional career is not a continuous string of victories, respect, and vacations. In reality, I have experienced losses, but I find peace in knowing that I have done everything in my power to achieve the desired outcome. Sometimes, I achieve partial relief, which is better than none at all. Some days, I work around the clock, stopping only to get a few hours of sleep. But this has never been a burden because I love winning. However, this recent development is personal and unrelated to a client. The opportunity would have required a temporary relocation, but it appears that I will remain stationed right where I am--where you see me in this picture!
While I am somewhat frustrated, I am also aware that I am in a very fortunate position. I am deeply grateful for the opportunities that Arkansas has afforded me, and I recognize the contributions I have made to the State of Arkansas. Moving forward, I will continue to work diligently, with hope and promise, on the assignments before me. I pray to recognize the blessings in my life and to honor them by fully dedicating myself to mastering the lessons that come from each of them. 🙏🏾⚖️💪🏾
