We did it again!

Here, a $5 million recovery for more than 5,000 servers across the country who alleged they were only paid the tipped minimum wage for time during which they couldn’t make tips. In other words, they were essentially paid less than minimum wage to work as janitors and dishwashers under the pretext of being “tipped” workers.

Patty worked for a Mesa restaurant serving tables for over a year. Her employer refused to pay her final paycheck because she didn’t return her uniforms on time when she quit.  This brought her wages below the AZ and federal minimum wage, which violates federal and state law. 
 
Patty found us.  We sued.  In a month and a half, Patty, who was originally owed about $350, walked away with nearly $1,500!  The best part is that SHE PAID US NOTHING!  As the law requires, her employer had to pay our fees at our hourly rate (plus our out-of-pocket) on top of what they paid Patty!

A construction worker who works more than 40 hours a week doing construction work for a construction company, and who has been doing so more than a year, is a construction employee—not an independent contractor.
