Hi friends. I was reading a friend's blog today that I found poignantly relevant for all professions.
"What lights you up?"
For me, it wasn't necessarily always the long hours of writing testimony... it's been the relationships. Growing meaningful and mutually rewarding relationships with clients, with reporters, and with support staff. These relationships tangibly "light me up" and ignite me to go the extra mile for them wherever possible.
Neal writes:
"Careers get built one decision at a time, and the professionals who end up somewhere that actually fits are usually the ones who paid attention early and kept adjusting, not the ones who waited for a single lightning-bolt moment of clarity. You may not know yet exactly what you're building toward. That's fine. Just notice where you thrive, follow it honestly, and trust that the pattern will tell you if you make the effort to pay attention."
