Check your flights from now through the holidays. Be safe travellers.

As of 9 a.m. Monday, the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport website showed about 100 cancellations and 390 delays for flights scheduled throughout the day.

The Federal Aviation Administration announced last week that air travel in 40 high-volume airports, including Phoenix, will be reduced due to the amount of air traffic controllers calling out of work during the shutdown.

Airlines were required to eliminate 4% of flights over the weekend, 6% by Tuesday and 10% by the end of this week.

This is just so interesting, and I know a special little someone who is fascinated by sharks. Saving for later!!

The first-ever sounds of sharks have been captured by researchers, according to a new study. The study found that the rig shark — also known as the spotted estuary smoothhound — produces clicking sounds when handled.

The lead author of the study said the sounds were "discovered by accident" as she was conducting another study analyzing the hearing capabilities of sharks.

On average, the sharks produced "nine clicks during handling underwater" over the course of 20 seconds, with significantly more clicks during the preliminary 10 seconds, the study said. https://abcnews.visitlink.me/EDdzsx

Shareholders of Apple voted Tuesday against dismantling its diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, rebuffing a conservative think tank’s recommendation.

The vote at the company’s annual meeting was highly anticipated, as many major companies have dissolved their diversity programs in the wake of President Donald Trump’s executive orders forcing federal government agencies to abolish DEI programs.

Before the vote, Apple shareholders faced a proposal from the National Center for Public Policy Research, which said recent U.S. Supreme Court rulings have raised significant legal concerns about DEI programs, including an uptick in DEI-related lawsuits that led to companies scaling back or dissolving the initiatives. It contended that Apple’s DEI platform could make the company vulnerable to litigation from workers.

But Apple did not acquiesce.
