Proposition 207 would allow anyone convicted of various ma*****na-related crimes to petition a court for the expungement of the criminal record beginning on July 12, 2021. Individuals convicted of certain crimes involving the possession, consumption or transportation of ma*****na and related paraphernalia must petition the court to expunge their record. The court must grant the petition unless the prosecuting agency can prove by clear and convincing evidence that petitioner is not eligible for expungement. The court or either party may request/set a hearing regarding the petition. Expungement can lead to restoration of civil and gun rights.
