There are just under a dozen insurers that still offer Long-Term Care (LTC) policies in 2021, compared to over one hundred insurers in the late 90's. This is because LTC plans are often very costly for the insurance company to pay out. Now that insurers are realizing the financial liability of LTC plans, we are seeing an increased number in LTC benefit denials.
