Thank you to everyone who attended the 2026 Land Use Law Update Workshop in Tempe today!

Lazarus & Silvyn's Keri Silvyn and Larry Lazarus were honored to participate in this year's program alongside an outstanding group of attorneys, planners, public officials, and industry professionals from across Arizona.

Keri's presentation explored the challenges and opportunities surrounding data center development in Arizona, while Larry joined the keynote panel discussing the history and evolution of Arizona land use law.

It was a great day of learning, collaboration, and discussion about the issues that will continue to shape Arizona's communities for years to come.

We appreciate the opportunity to share our experience and connect with so many professionals dedicated to thoughtful growth and development throughout our state.

Lazarus & Silvyn PC would like to thank the American Planning Association, Arizona Southern Section, for allowing our firm to present the Spring 2026 Land Use Law Session yesterday. We had a great time talking about how Arizona regulates land use, and how those regulations evolve and change, particularly with controversial land uses. We were even unexpectedly interrupted by around 20 masked protestors from No Desert Data Centers who stormed our office as we began, which strangely served as a good introduction to our presentation looking at controversy in land use! Despite efforts to derail the presentation, it went great and we hope that those in attendance enjoyed it.

Lazarus & Silvyn, P.C. is proud to congratulate Robin Large, AICP, Senior Land Use Planner, on earning the prestigious AICP certification from the American Institute of Certified Planners.

AICP is the only nationwide, independent verification of planners’ qualifications, recognizing professional expertise, mastery of planning principles, and a strong commitment to ethical practice.

Robin first earned her AICP credential in 2005. After serving several years as a Registered Nurse during the Great Recession, she returned to planning with a renewed perspective. Although not required for her current role, she chose to pursue AICP certification again as part of her continued commitment to excellence.

We are proud to celebrate Robin’s dedication and this outstanding accomplishment.

Thank you to the Habitat for Humanity Tucson team for hosting us at its CHUCK Center and Angels Crossing project. It was great to see firsthand the incredible work being done to expand access to quality, affordable housing in our community. It was especially meaningful for our team to visit Angels Crossing, a project we were proud to support through the entitlement process.

We are honored to play a role in helping bring impactful developments like this to life and look forward to continuing our collaboration on future projects that strengthen our Southern Arizona communities.
