Announcement of Creation of COVID-19 Strategic Task Force:
Friends and Clients,
The Task Force is me.
I'm just trying to figure this out like the rest of you. I'll mostly be working from home like the rest of the world is, but if there are things which require in-person meetings, let me know and we'll find each other. It'll be good to be out of the house, and frankly it was inspiring to be at a well-stocked Reading Terminal Market today and see how well everyone was getting along. But given the nature of my practice, 98% of what I do, I can do from anywhere and will do my part to flatten the curve.
How we as a nation address this crisis just reinforces all the reasons I do this work, as do you: because who we elect matters, and certainly including local government. We know that our communities are only as strong as the weakest members, and that government has an important role to play to protect us all, including by providing solutions and removing impediments which the free market might not. We'll get through this.
