The EB-5 Visa Program provides an important pathway for foreign nationals to obtain U.S. permanent residency, otherwise known as Green Card status, through investment. Investors can secure a green card by contributing either $1 million to a new or existing commercial enterprise, or roughly $800,000 if the investment is in a targeted employment area—areas that face high unemployment or are rural.
