Why I Do What I Do ⚖️

For over 30 years, I’ve dedicated my career to helping people build their futures in the United States: guiding families, professionals, and businesses through every step of the immigration process.

My journey began in Manhattan, working for a family friend and mentor who was not only a respected immigration attorney but also my law school professor. That experience sparked a lifelong passion for this field, one that’s only grown stronger with every client I’ve helped.

There’s nothing more rewarding than helping someone gain legal status, reunite with loved ones, or protect their right to stay in this country. After thousands of cases, that feeling never gets old.

Behind the Scenes: Preparing for a Case 🏛️

Every successful immigration case starts long before the interview with careful research, preparation, and attention to detail.

When it comes to green card or other immigration interviews, preparation is everything. It’s arguably more important than having an attorney physically present, because the smoother your preparation, the smoother your experience.

At our firm, we take the time to make sure every client walks into their interview confident, informed, and ready. 💼✨

Thinking about traveling while your green card renewal is pending? ✈️

It’s not always simple, and traveling too soon could cause serious delays or complications with your case.

If you have an H-1B or L-1 visa, you can travel using that valid visa.
Otherwise, you’ll need to wait for Advance Parole approval before leaving the U.S, but in many cases, interviews happen before it’s even approved, making travel risky.

Every case is unique, and processing times vary by location, so always double-check before making travel plans.

The Biden Administration has stated that they will publish a RULE in the Federal Register on or before August 19th, 2024 to allow certain spouses of U.S. citizens to apply for Parole in Place, so that they could then qualify to apply for Adjustment of Status (green card) within the United States, when they were not otherwise eligible to do so because they had entered the United States illegally.

In order the qualify you must meet the following basic requirements:
● You have continuously resided in the United States since June 17, 2014 (ten years physical presence);
● You were physically present in the United States on June 17, 2024;
● You were legally married to a U.S. citizen as of June 17, 2024;
● You entered the United States without admission or parole and do not currently hold any lawful immigrant or nonimmigrant status; (*If you entered in another status that does not allow Adjustment of Status, you MIGHT also be eligible, this will not be clear until final rule and instructions are published).
● You do not have a serious criminal record.
