A special shoutout to our very own Gavel, Meteorologist Brooke Richardson!

During times like these, when everyone is watching the weather and trying to make the best decisions for their families, having someone you know and trust makes all the difference!

Brooke has done a FANTASTIC job keeping our community informed with timely updates, accurate information, and most importantly, a realistic perspective on what to expect.

In a world where weather coverage can sometimes create more fear than necessary, Brooke brings a calm, honest, and factual approach. She doesn’t downplay the seriousness of a situation, but she doesn’t sensationalize it either. She simply gives people the information they need to be prepared and make informed decisions.

We are so proud to have Brooke as part of our Zarzaur Law Gavel family! Thank you, Brooke, for the countless hours you put into keeping our community informed and safe. Your dedication does not go unnoticed! 🧡👏

Stay informed, stay prepared, and stay safe, everyone! 🧡

It is with great disappointment that we must announce the cancellation of the 2026 Zarzaur Law Santa Rosa Island Triathlon due to the potential impacts of Invest 92, which has the potential to develop into a named tropical storm.

The safety of our athletes, volunteers, staff, and community must always come first. Given the uncertainty and potential for dangerous weather conditions in our area, we believe cancellation is the responsible decision.

All registered athletes have been emailed regarding details.

Thank you for your understanding and for being part of the Santa Rosa Island Triathlon family.

Stay safe,
Santa Rosa Island Triathlon Race Committee

IRONMAN #8 for Zarzaur Law Gavel Renee Alderman!

It was an incredible day at IRONMAN Chattanooga! Renee took on a challenging bike and run course and came away with an amazing TOP 10 AGE GROUP FINISH! 🔥🏆

EIGHT full IRONMAN finishes! That takes an incredible amount of dedication, strength, and consistency, and we are so proud to have Renee representing the Zarzaur Law Gavels!

Congratulations, Renee, on another HUGE accomplishment! 🥇💪🧡

Congratulations to Zarzaur Law Gavel Nicole Rendos Speer on racing 70.3 Augusta under six hours today alongside her husband!

Nicole truly does it ALL! She is a research scientist and Assistant Professor, raises two young boys, supports her husband’s business, AND somehow still finds time to train, race, and volunteer so much of her time as a Gavel.

We are so proud of you, Nicole! Congratulations to you and your husband on another 70.3 finish! What a special day and accomplishment! 🏅

Huge congratulations to Zarzaur Law Gavel Brooke Richardson on completing her second full IRONMAN at IRONMAN Maryland! 🎉

Brooke said this was truly one to remember. The swim definitely put the “Chop” in the Choptank River 😂, followed by a beautiful bike course with incredible volunteers. But the run was EPIC! The town of Cambridge showed up in a big way, from residents spraying athletes down with water hoses to the local brewery bringing the party at the turnaround. The support and heart of the entire community made that finish line even more special. ❤️

The day also brought a sobering reminder of how quickly things can change in our sport. Brooke was among the group of athletes stopped on the bike course while an injured athlete ahead of them was airlifted following a crash. Our thoughts continue to be with that athlete and her loved ones.

We are so proud of you, Brooke! Another 140.6 miles in the books and another IRONMAN finish you will never forget!

Some Gavel’s enjoyed the Members Only Triathlon that our fantastic Tri Gulf Coast club hosts every year for members! A few Gavels also volunteered for the event - thanks to all! What a beautiful day! 2 weeks until the SOLD OUT 30th annual Zarzaur Law Santa Rosa Island Triathlon!
