The ongoing legal challenges surrounding the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) have caused another delay in beneficial ownership information (BOI) reporting requirements. As of December 26, 2024, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals has reinstated a nationwide injunction, halting enforcement of BOI reporting.

Businesses are not currently obligated to submit BOI reports to FinCEN but may still choose to file voluntarily.

A salute to our Clerk of Court/Comptroller, Pam Childers, for stopping these illegal payments, and the tenacity to fight the issue in Court for two years to have her decision upheld.
