Hosted our first BCTLA - Broward County Trial Lawyers Association in-person event in over 18 months! Thank you to all those that joined us in person and over zoom. Thank you to Chief Judge Jack Tuter and Florida Justice Association President, Tiffany Faddis for presenting on our State of the Court & Legislative Updates.

Day 2 teaching at Nova's Trial Ad Summer Institute. My students actually wanted me back! Lol... It was great to have students so engaged in learning. Loved seeing colleagues and friends today too.

Excited to be designated a Super Lawyer for 2021. An honor reserved for those lawyers who exhibit excellence in practice. Only 2.5% of attorneys in Florida receive this distinction.

June BCTLA - Broward County Trial Lawyers Association President's Message from Leila Billings:

In the wise words of Master Oogway of Kung Fu Panda, “the past is history, the future is a mystery, and today is a gift, that’s why they call it the present.”
Vaccinations for Covid-19 are available, the world has finally opened up, life is returning to normal, and there isn’t a moment to lose. If the last year of quarantine and loss has taught me anything, it is that we need to take advantage of every precious moment we have and we need to live life to the fullest. Try new things, indulge, go somewhere you have never been, or reconnect with old friends. There is no right thing to do and there is no right way to be that suits everyone. There is only what’s right for you. Do not compare your journey to those of others. Your journey is yours.
So as you step into the post-Covid chapter of life, simply enjoy the fact that you made it to the other side, open your eyes to the world of possibilities, and enjoy the journey from this moment forward.
As we head into June, whether we get a chance to slow down, take a break or not, I leave you with this, take the time to relish every moment and blessing in your life because you deserve it and don’t ever doubt that you do. Today is a gift! So go out there and enjoy it! Have a happy and safe summer and we’ll see you soon!
