Debbie Sifford served the Citizens of Giles County as Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney for several years, and today she received a final well deserved honor. The Virginia Association of Commonwealth’s Attorneys presented Debbie with the 2023 Duvall Award for distinguished service by a prosecutor in the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court. This award honors Debbie’s amazing advocacy in the juvenile justice arena, along with her tireless work on behalf of victims of domestic violence, child abuse, and elder abuse. Congratulations, and happy retirement!

In Virginia, victims of a crime have rights under Virginia's Crime Victim and Witness Rights Act. The following video explains how our Victim/Witness Program is here to help and support victims.
