With temps dipping into the teens this week, now is the time to protect your home from freeze damage and unexpected repairs. Here are 10 winterizing tips for your home, and why they matter.

1. Shut off and drain outdoor spigots
Water left in exterior lines can freeze, expand, and crack pipes inside your walls.

2. Know where your main water shutoff is

3. Let faucets drip overnight
