Busy North Shore Law firm seeking experienced legal secretary or paralegal to fill its full time position. Our concentration is civil litigation. We maintain a fun and fast-paced work environment.

Responsibilities include:
• Filing of civil complaints
• Serving of civil complaints
• Default, motions to assess, motions to amend
• Small claims filing
• Superior court filing and rule 9A experience
• Serving discovery
• Scheduling depositions
• Extensive defendant contact
• Many other aspects of handling a civil case load from beginning to end.

Requirements:
• Previous civil litigation experience is required; however, we will train you with our system.
• The right candidate will be very organized, and efficient.
• Ability to work on your own as well as with a team.
• Ability to take direction
• Excellent communication skills.
• Maintain a professional atmosphere and personality, in the office, on the phone, and through any email correspondence.
• Excellent telephone and interpersonal skills are necessary.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Outlook
• Experience with Abacus Law a plus, but not required.

Hours/Salary/Benefits
• Hours are 9-5 Monday through Friday, partial WFH after training period. No weekend hours.
• $20.00-$22.00 per hour based on experience.
• Simple IRA employee match
• Full health insurance available (NO CONTRIBUTION FROM EMPLOYEE!)
• Programs such as dental, vision, short term disability, offered at a discounted rate.

Located in downtown Peabody near Routes 1/128/95.
