US Housing Prices Keep Climbing
As a real estate Broker with Mutual Realty Consultants, I’ve watched closely as home prices have continued to climb across the US—even after the pandemic’s buying surge. The driving force is a familiar one: more buyers than homes available, which keeps prices firm in most areas. Where supply is especially tight and demand remains steady, buyers still face strong competition. Yet, in markets with more new construction and softer demand, there’s a bit more room for buyers to negotiate, as some listings stay on the market longer. Despite rising mortgage rates, sales actually increased, fueled by steady job growth and rising incomes nationwide. While incomes are now outpacing home prices, affordability remains a balancing act—with higher rates still the main hurdle for many. It’s a complex landscape, but understanding these shifts helps make informed decisions.
