The Fourth Circuit Public Defender office will be CLOSING EARLY at 12pm on Wednesday, November 26th for the Holiday. We will be CLOSED Thursday the 27th and Friday the 28th.

We will be back in the office Monday December 1 at 8:30am.

What a great conference to be a part of, with great presenters. Our office was happy to team up with the Opioid Response Network and Coplin Health Systems. Chief Angela Brunicardi Doss participated on a panel for Representatives of the Justice System and Paula Enoch Oliphant and Malorie Chadock from our office participated on the Navigating the System Panel.

A BIG thank you to Paula for working hard behind the scenes to make this partnership and conference possible!!

Our Wood County Food Pantry (Thrive) is being hit hard right now. There are more families reaching out now than ever before. We’re doing everything we can to keep our shelves stocked… but we need your help! We’re asking for food donations to help us continue serving those who depend on us most. Together, we can fight food insecurity right here in Wood County.

Donations can be dropped off at our administrative office located at 1037 Market Street Parkersburg, WV during normal business hours (Monday-Friday 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM). If you need food assistance, our food pantry is located at 1218 Market Street Parkersburg, WV.

Assistant Public Defender

The Fourth Circuit Public Defender Corporation is seeking applications for the full-time position of Assistant Public Defender. The position will primarily handle misdemeanor cases in magistrate court. The available position will work in Parkersburg, WV.

Applicant must be licensed or eligible to be licensed to practice law in the state of West Virginia. Experience preferred but not a requirement. The preferred applicant should have the following skills: excellent communication skills, skills of persuasion and negotiation, strong time management and organizational skills.
