After witnessing the behavior of the House GOP over the past two years, I shouldn’t be surprised—this can only be described as complete and total cowardice! To call a last minute special session—costing taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars, merely to save newly elected members of the General Assembly from having to vote for whatever terrible, backroom deal legislation they’ve come up with this time, and ruining the holidays for our hard working public employees, first responders, teachers and retirees— is outrageous.

Bevin's announcement comes days after the Kentucky Supreme Court's ruling that the state legislature passed pension reform unconstitutionally.
