Later this week, we will have lunch bags and stickers at the office. Stop by and decorate a bag or two. We hope to get 100 decorated bags to Kids Kupboard in October. If you have any bags that you need to drop off, we are happy to transport them to Kids Kupboard for you. Just drop them off at our front desk.

🏅We were honored to award five great Alaskan organizations $25,000 each to work on child sexual abuse primary prevention. The awardees will use the funds to further the objectives of the statewide Prevent Together CSA Primary Prevention Plan over the next year. Each project focuses on one of the three Prevent Together priority areas: Mobilize & Educate Alaskans, Cultivate Safer Environments and Act Early to Prevent Harm.

💰 Could MEA Have an Unclaimed Capital Credit Check for You?

MEA's 2026 Unclaimed Capital Credits List is now available—and there are more than 46 pages of names on it!

When MEA returns capital credits to members, checks that aren't cashed are moved to an unclaimed capital credit account. The good news? There's no time limit to claim them. Even if your original check was issued years ago, you can still contact MEA to request that an eligible check be reissued.

We’ve been made aware of scammers contacting people claiming to offer 2026 Alaska State Fair vendor spaces in exchange for payment.

Please do NOT send money. The Alaska State Fair will never request vendor payment without issuing a lease agreement, and we will never ask for payment via Venmo or Cash App.

If someone contacts you claiming to have a vendor space available at the 2026 Alaska State Fair, please verify it with us before sending any payment.

Neighbors- we have two of these adult chairs outside but seem to have lost our baby chair that matches. If it ended up in your yard after a windstorm, we would appreciate getting it back.

When people think of donating to a food bank, they often picture canned goods—and while those are helpful, there are many high-need items that often get overlooked.

🧼 Non-Food Essentials:
Toiletries, soap, deodorant, shampoo, diapers, wipes, menstrual products.

🫙 Cooking Basics:
Cooking oil, seasoning packets, spices, flour, sugar.

🐣 Baby & Senior Items:
Formula, baby food, low-sodium soups, easy-open cans.

Items like these help families prepare well-rounded meals and meet everyday needs.

Starting Monday June 8th we will be shut down while we move our operations to our new location Wasilla at the Sun Mountain shopping center. We are planning to open Sun Mountain on June 18th.
