The continuation of the flyovers on US19 from Republic to Curlew is underway. Ultimately, when finished, it should make a very treacherous highway that much safer. In the meantime, it should be under construction for several years, so pay attention to the changing traffic patterns.

FDOT has started a major construction project on busy U.S. 19 in Pinellas County for safety improvements. Drivers should expect impacts to traffic.

As the construction of the Alt-19 roundabout in Palm Harbor comes to a finish, there are a lot of orange cones marking the circle for now. Stay aware and remember to yield to those in the circle.

A Publix delivery truck and passenger truck are some of the first casualties of the long-controversial roundabout at Palm Harbor Boulevard and Florida Avenue.

The Tampa-St.Petersburg-Clearwater area came in as the fourth most dangerous metropolitan area for pedestrians in the country. Be safe out there.

The last place in the nation you’ll want to take a stroll: the Daytona Beach area, according to Smart Growth America’s "Dangerous by Design" report covering 2016 to 2020. Six other regions in Florida didn't fare very well, either.
